Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 12th, 1929  Frank entered the United States Army in July 1945 to 1947 and reenlisted on 8 July 1950, and was discharged on July 7, 1953, Frank was an Infantryman Frank had received the Korean Service Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.  Upon return to Civilian life, Frank had become a police officer with the New York City Police Department and attained the rank of Lieutenant. Frank was also a member of the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8612, a member of the Emerald Society, a life member of the Catholic War Veterans, Knights of Columbus. Frank was married to Grace (Pat) Marr and had 5 children, (Patricia Renzo and her husband Salvatore, Theresa Yackel and her husband Robert, Frank and his wife Melissa, Daniel and his wife Catherine, Michael and his wife Diana.)  He was predeceased by his parents, Francis P Hart, His mother Katherine O’Brien, and his 2 brothers Daniel and William. He also had 2 sisters that predeceased him, Catherine Hall and Mary Hart.  Frank had moved and lived in the Matamoras and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States at Mountain Laurel post 8612. He was an active member and held the position of Sergeant at Arms from 1998 until 2007  We thank our Comrade in arms Francis P Hart for his war-time Military Service in the US Army. We thank him for his dedication and loyalty to Mountain Laurel post 8612 – VFW, and we commend him for his 89 years of life filled with accomplishment. Frank will be greatly missed by each member of this Post who have fond memories of his time in the post and we extend to his wife Pat and the other members of his family out sincere sympathy. May Frank rest in peace.
