Paul D. Pagel, 74 of Northampton, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital –Muhlenberg campus in Bethlehem, PA.
Born July 24, 1946, in Lehighton, PA, he was the son of the late Edgar Pagel and the late Edna (Hontz) Pagel. Paul was the husband of Phyllis (Barthol) Pagel, with whom he had celebrated 50 years of marriage this past February 20, 2021.
Paul was last employed by PBNE Railroad as a General Yard Master for over 40 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of St. Peter’s U.C.C. Church, Seemsville, PA, a Master Mason with F.A.M. Lodge #283, Bethlehem, a life member of the Northampton V.F.W. Post #4714, Northampton, and a member of the National Rifle Association. He served his country as a specialist 4th grade during the Vietnam War.
Surviving along with his wife Phyllis are son, Scott Pagel and wife Tiffany of Bethlehem, PA, daughter, Amy wife of Thomas Malseed of Northampton, PA, brother, Richard Pagel and wife Pamela of Mechanicsburg, PA, sisters, Ann Pagel of Bethlehem, PA and Lois Clauss wife of Edward of Whitehall, PA, 4 grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Brayden, and Gavin.
